Third suspect sentenced in central Alberta kidnapping with firearm incident
The third of three people charged in a kidnapping with a firearm incident in central Alberta three years ago has now been sentenced.
Alexandra Louise Rain, 27, a resident of the Maskwacis area, was sentenced in Wetaskiwin Court of King’s Bench on Sept. 16, 2025, to two-and-a-half years in jail, less pre-trial custody of 605 days at time-and-a-half credit, exceeding her 900-day sentence, therefore sentenced to time in custody and ordered to be released.
