Tools for School Program
Red Deer Outreach Centre, 54 Avenue, Red Deer, AB, Canada
The Outreach Centre and United Way of Central Alberta present Tools for School, which aims to reduce one known barrier preventing children and youth from successful learning and participation in school. Annually, Tools for School provides backpacks and school supplies to students in kindergarten through Grade 12 whose families have limited resources. While the school supplies included may not exactly match your school’s supply list, they’re a great start. The success of this program is dependent on donations, which we receive from the community and/or corporate sponsors.   APPLY FOR TOOLS FOR SCHOOL If you require assistance providing school supplies for your children, please fill out or pick up an application form from The Outreach Centre. A valid health care card for yourself and each of your children, plus proof of household income (T4, tax return assessment for family, AISH or income support card) is required.   HOW CAN I HELP? HOST A PRODUCT DRIVE: Start a collection! Make a difference by collecting school supplies from your family, friends or workplace. Full lists of needed supplies are above. MAKE A MONETARY DONATION: Can’t make it out to shop? You can still contribute by making a secure donation online! SHOP & DROP: If you’re out shopping for school supplies, double up and drop off your donations at one of the community Tools for School collection bins conveniently located at: United Way Central Alberta: 100 – 4828 53 Street The Outreach Centre: 4101 54 Avenue
