Let’s celebrate and pay tribute to the women who are the foundation of our vision and the power that many hands and hearts bring, which move us forward. Join us on Thursday May 9 from 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Red Deer Resort & Casino – Events Centre for our annual Ladies’ Luncheon. Indulge in delicious food and drinks, participate in exciting raffles, and be dazzled by a fabulous fashion show.

Join the first ever SUN RUN brought to you by Sunterra Market in support of the Bower Place Community Association!  This brand new event is a fundraiser for improving our local community shelter, and providing a better space for our neighbours, and all of Red Deer, to gather and meet in. Participants can register to run or walk in either the 3 km or 5 km event, and every participant will receive a treat at the finish line, courtesy of Sunterra Market!  There are two Dairy Queen Bubble Run events: 100 M for children ages 1-3, and 500 M for children ages 4-5 - participants will receive their own prizes for finishing.   Everyone is welcome to join the celebrations afterwards for the Bo's Bar and Stage Afterparty featuring a barbeque, bounce houses, live music, and beer garden.

The 24th running of the Woody’s RV Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10k races will be on Sunday May 19, 2024. The Woody’s RV World Marathon, Half Marathon and 10k, takes place through Red Deer’s picturesque park and trail system. Experience scenic winding paths along the majestic Red Deer River. With small race charm and big race benefits, the event is repeatedly ranked among Alberta’s best races.

Be a part of 2024 Induction Ceremony, which will be taking place at the Red Deer Polytechnic Cenovus Centre! Join us for an evening of celebration and recognition as we welcome new members into our community. The evening will start with cocktails and appetizers, beginning at 5:30 pm.  The main event, the induction, will be at 6:30 pm, promising an inspiring and memorable experience for all attendees.

Welcome to the 2024 Red Deer Jayman BUILT MS Walk, taking place on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at Bower Ponds Amphitheater. We are so excited to connect with the MS Community and would like to welcome you to this year’s Jayman BUILT MS Walk. Do you want to Branch Out with Rotary?  Come join them at the fourth annual Rotary Branches Out! Tree Planting Day on Saturday, June 1 at McKenzie Trails at 10.00 am - 12.00 pm.  They are planting 16” saplings at McKenzie Trails, Red Deer (main parking lot).  Bring your own spade, but if you don’t have one, the City has 100 spades for us to use.  The City and Weyerhaeuser Foresters will give an ecotalk on how to plant them at 10.00 am.  The Red Deer City Urban Forester will let us know where to plant and have the area staked out. Everyone is Welcome! - youth groups, families, students and youth needing volunteer hours.   Pizza and pop are available at noon for all youth.

Join us for the 12th annual RMHC Alberta Charity Golf Classic: Red Deer. This year’s tournament will be held at the Alberta Springs Golf Resort. Consider sponsoring the tournament or registering a team and help us continue to raise awareness and funds in support of RMHC Alberta. The event includes a shared golf cart, 18 holes of golf, food and drinks, raffles, auction, and prizes.

The 17th Annual Run Hike for Hospice presented by RSM Canada will happen on June 9, 2024. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one, spend time with family and friends, and raise money in support of end-of-life care in Central Alberta. Help the Red Deer Hospice reach their fundraising goal of $50,000!
