Trial set for man charged in Rocky Mountain House firearms incident

A trial date has now been set for a central Alberta man charged in connection with a firearms incident in Rocky Mountain House over the Easter long weekend.

Boyd Beaverbones, 24, of the O’Chiese First Nation, is scheduled for trial in Rocky Mountain House provincial court on Feb, 27, 2023.

Beaverbones faces counts of pointing a firearm, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, fail to comply with conditions of release, and possessing a firearm with the serial number removed.

On April 16, 2022, Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a report of an individual pointing a firearm and uttering threats at a residence on 53 Street. Upon arrival, the victim had already left the residence.
