Rocky Mountain House RCMP make arrest after firearms complaint

Charges have been laid against a 24 year-old man in connection with a firearms incident in Rocky Mountain House over the Easter long weekend.

On April 16, 2022, Rocky Mountain House RCMP responded to a report of an individual pointing a firearm and uttering threats at a residence on 53 Street. Upon arrival, the victim had already left the residence. As a result, RCMP set up containment and called in the RCMP Emergency Response Team. Mounties say the suspect later surrendered without further incident.

RCMP have charged Boyd Beaverbones, of the O’Chiese First Nation with:

  • Ponting a firearm
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats
  • Fail to comply with conditions of release
  • Possess firearm with serial number removed
