Rocky Mountain House Town Council tries new ‘untraditional’ budgeting system
The Town of Rocky Mountain House is exploring a new ‘untraditional’ budgeting system.
Frank Saccucci with MacEwan University spoke to council Tuesday, offering a new perspective on budgeting. The goal of the system is to re-evaluate controls within the town’s administration, aiming to save money through reducing unnecessary practices.
Saccucci says there’s often too many controls in a government system, ultimately wasting staff time and resources.
Town CAO Dean Krause invited Saccucci to speak and believes a town should always look at how to do things more efficiently.
