Rocky RCMP Weekly Report: May 10 – 16
On May 10th at 1:09 p.m. RCMP stopped a Mercedes in Rocky Mountain House for having a stolen licence plate. The driver was arrested for possession of stolen property and for having outstanding warrants from Calgary. The vehicle was also seized for 30 days as he was a suspended driver.
On May 10th at 8:51 p.m. RCMP responded to a report of a male running around with a long sword or machete in Rocky Mountain House. Extensive patrols made for the unknown individual but he wasn’t located.
On May 11th at 11:31 a.m. RCMP members conducted a traffic stop near Rocky Mountain House on two parked vehicles, one of which had tinted windows and light covers. The male and female adult drivers were on conditions not to have contact with each other while male also had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Cocaine was found in the male’s vehicle and on his person. Both were vehicles towed, and charges are pending.
On May 12th at 12:31 p.m. RCMP received a call of a suspicious person in a vehicle at a residence on Range Road 6-0 and Township 41-5 in Clearwater County. When approached by the home owner, he said he was looking for someone and was going to plant trees in the area for a company. The specific company, when contacted, advised they had no such plans.
