Alberta Sports Hall of Fame to host Power Play camp on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
The Alberta Sports Hall of Fame is set to hold a special Power Play camp on September 30 to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The event invites students to learn, reflect, and connect through sport and culture.
From 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., participants aged 5-12 will have the opportunity to learn about and try Indigenous sports and games, explore artifacts and stories from the Hall’s collection, and discover the important connections between sport, history, and Indigenous cultures in Alberta.
The kids will learn through hands-on activities, which will provide them with a deeper understanding of Truth and Reconciliation while having fun and staying active.
