Trial date scheduled in Ponoka break-and-enter
A trial date has been set for a man charged in a Ponoka break-and-enter last month.
Daryl Huff, 35, of Ponoka, is scheduled for trial in Ponoka Court of Justice on Oct. 23, 2026. He’s charged with one count of housebreaking with intent, in the alleged incident.
Meantime, Huff has also been scheduled for a preliminary hearing, in regards to a Ponoka robbery nearly two years ago, to determine if his case has enough evidence to go to trial in that alleged incident.
It was on Sept. 20, 2024, shortly after 6:00 p.m., when Ponoka RCMP responded to a report of a robbery at a local business in downtown Ponoka.
