Ponoka man, 50, charged after alleged assault involving baseball bat

A Ponoka man has been charged following an alleged assault.

On April 4, just after 6 a.m., members responded to a report of a male being threatened with a baseball bat on 50 Street in Ponoka.

The victim reported he was riding his bicycle home when he noticed a truck following him and taking photographs of him, police say.

The victim then used his mobile phone to take a photograph of the truck, but the male driver exited the truck and confronted the victim.
