The Lacombe Police Service are investigating after two individuals evaded police in a vehicle reported stolen.

The alleged incident took place in the early morning hours of July 8 after a resident reported his 2001 white Chevrolet Duramax truck stolen from outside his home on Iron Wolf Boulevard.

Police then witnessed a vehicle matching the truck’s description travelling at speeds as high as 120 km/h on Wolf Creek Drive.

They did not attempt to stop the vehicle because of safety concerns. However, at 3:30 a.m. Camrose Police Service located the stolen truck and arrested two people, both of whom were taken into custody.

Police say charges are pending in connection to the possession of stolen property and the investigation is ongoing. Additional details will be provided when they become available.
