Conditional Sentence Order for man charged in Red Deer drug, weapons, and stolen property bust

The fourth of four people charged in a significant drug, weapons, and stolen property seizure in Red Deer two years ago was sentenced in Red Deer Court of King’s Bench this week.

Anthony James White, 43, was given a Conditional Sentence Order (CSO) on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, of two years, along with three years of probation, a 10-year firearms prohibition, and $800 in surcharges.

He was convicted on three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and one count of possession of property over $5000.

Co-accused Stephanie Johnson, 39, was convicted on counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property over $5000 on May 24, 2023, and given a two-year Conditional Sentence Order (CSO), and a 10-year firearms prohibition.

While co-accused Richard Dryborough-Browes, 53, had all four counts against him withdrawn on May 23, 2023.

The fourth person accused, Keira Marie Hopkins, 24, had her charges withdrawn in July 2022.

All four were charged in June 2021 after local Mounties searched a property in Red Deer’s Riverside Meadows the month before and found a large amount of illicit drugs, weapons, and stolen property.

RCMP’s investigation into the property began in late April 2021.

Inside the residence, members of Red Deer RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS) seized:

475 grams of marijuana
27 grams of cocaine
29 grams of DMT
5 grams of fentanyl
167 grams of MDMA
773 grams of methamphetamine
1979 grams of psilocybin
19 litres of GHB
1 semi-automatic prohibited shotgun
$20,616 CDN

Also located in a garage on the property were two stolen all-terrain vehicles, say RCMP.
