Unauthorized skin lightening products removed from sale in Red Deer
Health Canada has removed two unauthorized skin lightening products from being sold in Red Deer due to their potential to pose serious health risks.
Officials state the products were tested by Health Canada and found to contain tretinoin, or Vitamin A acid.
They state tretinoin is a prescription medication in Canada, predominantly used in acne treatments to act as a peeling agent.
