Wheaton Chevrolet was proud this week to distribute 1,000 masks to various central Alberta charities to assist in the fight against COVID-19.

With the assistance of General Motors, who have been manufacturing face masks since 2020 at their Oshawa facility, Wheaton Chevrolet was able to provide masks to the Safe Harbour Society, Turning Point Society and Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre.

“We’ve been a part of Red Deer and central Alberta since the 60s, we live and work here so taking care of our community is very important to us” said general sales manager Zenon Byblow. “We’re really glad we could partner with GM to provide masks to some of our city’s fantastic non-profit groups and keep the most vulnerable safe.”

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, Wheaton Chevrolet has been committed to keeping their customers and staff safe through enhanced cleaning procedures, implementation of government-recommended safety measures and a Buy From Home program allowing contact-free vehicle purchase and servicing. Wheaton has also had a program in place since April of 2020 to assist people unable to leave their home in getting essentials such as groceries and medicine.
