Curlers named RDC Athletes of the Week

A pair of curlers have been named this week’s RDC Boston Pizza Athletes of the Week.

Erica Watts is a first year Bachelor of Science Pre-Professional Pharmacy student and one of four first-years on the RDC Mixed Curling team.

Watts is said to have done a great job playing third at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Curling Fall Regional this past weekend and helped her group achieve a 3-2 record, tying for third spot with the NAIT Ooks.

On Sunday, the Red Deer native and her team had an outstanding day at the Pidherney Curling Centre, downing the Portage College Voyageurs 7-3 and then soundly defeating the Olds College Broncos 9-1.
