Scary crash near Devon sends two to hospital

Two men were taken to hospital Friday morning after a collision involving two semis and an SUV Friday morning southwest of Edmonton.

Police say the three vehicles were all heading westbound near Devon on Highway 19 just before the Highway 60 junction when one semi collided with the back of the SUV.

The SUV was pushed into the ditch and that semi then collided with the back of another semi. Both were carrying metal pipes on trailers. The pipes from the front semi went through the windshield and into the cab of the back semi.

Emergency personnel removed the driver of the back semi. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
