Preliminary hearing scheduled for pair charged in central Alberta armed robbery
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for two men charged in a central Alberta armed robbery.
Melvin Myles Cattleman, 38, and Jesse Lee Roasting, 36, both of Maskwacis, will find out in Wetaskiwin Court of Justice on Nov. 2, 2026, if their case has enough evidence to go to trial.
It was on May 17, 2026, at approximately 1 p.m., when two armed suspects allegedly robbed a man of his liquor on the Montana First Nation.
Mounties say the man had escaped unharmed, but the suspects, who police say were known to each other, fled the scene in a blue SUV.
