Man charged in County of Wetaskiwin alleged shootout with police, ordered to stand trial
A man charged following an alleged shootout and subsequent shelter in place in the County of Wetaskiwin has been ordered to stand trial.
Eric Dylan Dixon, 36, was ordered to stand trial on April 13, 2026, after a preliminary hearing held in Wetaskiwin Court of Justice to determine if his case had enough evidence to go to trial.
A trial date, however, has yet to be set.
He faces 12 counts in relation to an incident which began on Dec. 30, 2024.
