Red Deer Christmas Bureau named recipient of Campus to Community initiative

Jan 22, 2026 | 1:51 PM

The Red Deer Christmas Bureau has been named the recipient of the Campus to Community initiative.

Brought forward by Cinch Communications, the initiative brings together students from RDP’s Donald School of Business and local industry mentors to create a meaningful impact for non-profit organizations through learning projects.

This year, the Red Deer Christmas Bureau will work with students and faculty to explore opportunities for communications strategy, awareness building, volunteer engagement, and long-term sustainability.

The Bureau has been around for over 64 years and has supported individuals and families across central Alberta, especially during the holiday season.

“It is a privilege to be selected as the recipient of the Campus to Community initiative,” said Teresa Kutynec, President of the Red Deer Christmas Bureau, in a media release. “We are energized, excited and motivated to work with the emerging marketers at RDP! This partnership will provide fresh perspectives, new ideas and tangible deliverables. We look forward to implementing the results of this initiative.”

Campus to Community was created to bridge the gap between classroom learning and community needs, offering students hands-on experience while delivering tangible value to local non-profits. The Campus to Community project will run through the Winter 2026 term, with outcomes including strategic insights, recommendations and comprehensive marketing strategies that support the Red Deer Christmas Bureau’s ongoing mission to serve the community.
