Maskwacis RCMP charge man in connection to alleged illegal firearms

A 21-year-old man from Samson Cree First Nation has been charged in connection to a firearms seizure, RCMP say.
Maskwacis detachment says it received a tip about illegal firearms on Oct. 30, then executed a search warrant at a home on Samson Cree. Members located two guns, and ammunition.
The person charged was arrested at the scene and faces counts of:
- Fail to comply with release order condition (X2);
- Weapons possession contrary to order (X2);
- Possession of a firearm when knowing possession is unauthorized (X2);
- Possession of a firearm with tampered serial number;
- Possession of a firearm with ammunition without licence/registration;
- Unsafe storage of a firearm.
