Five Red Deer Rebels players are headed to NHL camps this month.

They include:

Kalan Lind (’05) – F – Nashville Predators

Mats Lindgren (’04) – D – Buffalo Sabres

Carson Latimer (’03) – F – Minnesota Wild

Hunter Mayo (’04) – D – Los Angeles Kings

Matteo Fabrizi (’05) – D – Vegas Golden Knights

This list doesn’t include Jayden Grubbe who is eligible to return to the Rebels this season, but isn’t currently rostered. Grubbe will be attending the Edmonton Oilers camp.

Lind was selected by the Predators in round two of this year’s NHL Draft, while Lindgren was selected by the Sabres in round four of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Latimer, Mayo and Fabrizi are each attending camps as free agent invites.

Additionally, three former Rebels who graduated from the WHL last season are attending camps.

Ben King (’02) – F – Anaheim Ducks

Jace Isley (’02) – F – New Jersey Devils

Christoffer Sedoff (’02) – D – Vegas Golden Knights

The Rebels’ pre-season got underway last night. Read our recap here.
