Jun 27, 2023 | 2:57 PM

The Western Hockey League has announced the full 68-game regular season schedule for 2023/2024.

Things get started September 22 and wrap on March 24, ahead of the 2024 WHL Playoffs.

For the Red Deer Rebels, they open things up at home to Edmonton on Friday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.

They then head to Edmonton the next night for a rematch with the Oil Kings, who finished last in the Central Division last year while Red Deer topped it.

The Wenatchee Wild (relocated Winnipeg ICE) will visit the Peavey Mart Centrium for the first time on Saturday, February 24.

Red Deer plays Saskatoon for the first time of the season on Oct. 21, at home. It will be the first time they’ve met since the Blades stormed back from three games down to win their second round playoff series against the Rebels.

The reigning WHL Champion Seattle Thunderbirds visit Tuesday, Oct. 24.

The 2024 Memorial Cup will be hosted in Saginaw, Michigan.
