One of Edmonton’s most wanted arrested at Drayton Valley residence

Drayton Valley RCMP have arrested one of Edmonton’s most wanted criminals who was at large on a Canada-wide warrant.

Mounties say it was 9 p.m. on May 6, with assistance from the Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit, when they arrested 29-year-old Terence John Woodward.

His warrant was issued for a parole violation stemming from a previous drug trafficking conviction.

During the search warrant which was executed at Woodward’s residence, members seized 35.6 grams of methamphetamine, 4.0 grams of cocaine, a small amount of heroin, a significant amount of cash, and several other prohibited items.

Two other males and three females were also arrested, with several charges against those individuals pending.

Woodward is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of currency obtained by commission of a criminal offence, possession of a prohibited device, possession of a weapon for a purpose dangerous to the public, and possession of a prohibited device while prohibited.

He was additionally charged with flight from police stemming from an incident which occurred in Drayton Valley on April 11.

“The Drayton Valley RCMP remains fully committed to building “safe communities” by enforcing laws to their fullest extent,” the detachment says in a release. “Members of the public who suspect drug activity in their community are encouraged to contact their local RCMP detachment.”
