Blackfalds RCMP seize drugs, firearms & cash

BLACKFALDS- A man and woman face charges after Mounties seized drugs, firearms and cash from a home in Blackfalds.

A search warrant was executed on the home on April 26 by the Blackfalds RCMP’s General Investigative Section (GIS) with assistance from Sylvan Lake GIS, Innisfail GIS, Lacombe Police Service and Red Deer ALERT.

The search resulted in the seizure of illegal drugs, firearms, money and other drug paraphernalia.

Joseph Andrew MacInnis and Christina Maria Stark are both charged with possession of methamphetamine and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property.

The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be laid.

Both accused have been released on their own recognizance to attend Red Deer provincial court at a later date.
