Innisfail RCMP arrest man in stolen vehicle

Routine compliance checks by Innisfail RCMP last week resulted in the arrest of a man breaking his conditions of 24-hour house arrest while driving a stolen vehicle.

It happened around 1:22 p.m. on November 23 when Mounties discovered the man was not at home.

He was later found however around 4:30 p.m. when police observed a suspected stolen vehicle driving near the man’s residence.

RCMP say the man they were looking for exited the driver’s door and when informed he was under arrest, attempted to run from police.

After a brief foot chase, Mounties say the man was apprehended and the vehicle he was driving confirmed stolen.

18-year-old Jordan Kyle Glasgow has been charged with possess stolen property over $5000, obstruction, five counts of breach of recognizance, operate a motor vehicle while disqualified and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.

Glasgow was remanded into custody and is set to attend Red Deer Provincial Court on December 4 at 09:30 a.m.
