Red Deer Symphony Orchestra continues 37th season with A Night at the Opera
The Red Deer Symphony Orchestra (RDSO) returns to the Red Deer Polytechnic Arts Centre for A Night at the Opera on Saturday, March 16, welcoming soprano Helen Hassinger for an evening of operatic arias and more.
From Puccini’s stunning O mio babbino caro to Rossini’s timeless overture to The Barber of Seville, this concert is a celebration of beautiful music from the greatest musical dramas of all time. A frequently misunderstood art form, this performance presents opera in a way that everyone will enjoy, whether wearing a tuxedo or a t-shirt.
As Red Deer’s flagship performing arts organization, the RDSO specializes in high-calibre performances with professional musicians that appeal to a wide range of audiences, offering concertgoers the musical quality of big-city orchestras without the big-city price tag.
Tickets to all RDSO events are available online at www.rdso.ca, by phone at (403) 346-0021, and in-person at the RDSO office.
