Mayor and councillors roll up their sleeves for Green Deer

May 9, 2024 | 10:29 AM

Mayor Ken Johnston and the city council will be participating in the Green Deer spring cleanup campaign on May 10, at the Gary W. Harris Celebration Plaza, from 2-3 p.m.

The annual campaign began March 21 and runs until May 31. Residents are encouraged to show their civic pride, register for Green Deer, and pick up litter in their neighbourhood or a favourite green space.

Participants can fill out a simple registration form to receive free cleanup supplies and get entered into a prize draw.

The grand prize winner will get a private room rental at Troubled Monk, and eight runner-up winners will each get two $25 gift cards—one for Save-On-Foods and one for Canadian Tire.
