AUPE members at Seasons Encore in Olds to hold rally

Staff at Seasons Encore Retirement Home in Olds are set to hold a rally on Tuesday in an effort to improve seniors’ care at the facility.

The Alberta Union of Provincial Employees says its members will rally for fair wages and compassionate seniors’ care.

“Our members in continuing care are ready to fight for better working conditions and better care conditions,” said AUPE Vice-President Darren Graham. “We’re increasing the pressure on continuing-care operators to help us support Alberta’s seniors.”

The rally will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Seasons Encore, located at 3300 57 Avenue in Olds.
