Collard says he will continue in his role as a criminal defense lawyer, and would remove himself from a case if there’s any conflict of interest. 

His term on the board is three years.

The Alberta Law Enforcement Review Board is an arm of the Government of Alberta and hears appeals about the decisions on police officer complaints, as well as the cancellations of peace officer appointments.
