Frost-Yellow Advisory issued for Red Deer and surrounding region

A Frost-Yellow Advisory has been issued for many areas of Alberta, including the Red Deer region.

According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), temperatures are expected to drop to, or below zero, giving widespread frost.

Meteorologists add, however, that temperatures will moderate mid morning on Wednesday.

Damage to plants, trees, and crops is possible.

Residents are encouraged to take preventative measures to protect cold-sensitive plants, trees, and crops. Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
