Red Deer RCMP vehicles to feature new design
The Red Deer RCMP will soon be driving around the community in general duty vehicles featuring a new black-and-white design.
In a letter to Red Deer city council, Supt. Holly Glassford said the full conversion to the new design will happen gradually.
She said the transition will happen as part of the natural replacement cycle, which allows older vehicles to be retired without creating extra costs. The approach also supports fleet consistency and modernization over time.
“This redesign is not simply cosmetic,” Glassford said. “It reflects a commitment to being a modern, professional, and approachable police service while maintaining a clear connection to the RCMP’s history.”
