Snow in the forecast for Alberta, including Hwy 2 corridor, starting Friday
A special weather statement has been issued for parts of Alberta, including Red Deer, ahead of the Thanksgiving long weekend.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says the first accumulating snowfall is expected to begin Friday and last in some areas until Sunday.
Per the statement:
Rain will begin to spread across northern Alberta today. Precipitation will change to snow on Friday in west-central regions, and for much of the province by Saturday.
