Rebels trim preseason roster

The Red Deer Rebels announced they’ve reassigned six players from the preseason roster.

This includes defenceman Owen Archer to the Drumheller Dragons (AJHL), defenceman Keyn Lindberg to the Edge School U18 Prep team (CSSHL), goaltender Chase Nielson to the SAHA U18 Prep team, forward Miller Robson to the Nipawin Hawks (SJHL), forward Dylan Russell to the Rink Hockey Academy Winnipeg U18 Prep team (CSSHL), and forward Boris Sigachev to the Drayton Valley Thunder (AJHL).

As a result, the team now has 26 players remaining on the roster heading into its final two preseason games this week.

In addition, three players are headed to NHL camps this weekend, including forward Beckett Hamilton (Colorado Avalanche), defenceman Zed Lindgren (New York Rangers), and Kalder Varga (Colorado Avalanche).
