Red Deer District Chamber unveils 2026 Business of the Year Awards finalists

The Red Deer District Chamber has announced its 2026 Business of the Year Awards finalists.

Each year, the awards celebrate the achievements, innovation, leadership and contributions of organizations and individuals who help make Central Alberta a thriving place to live, work and do business.

The finalists were selected by an independent adjudication committee of local business leaders.

As a result, 21 finalists across seven award categories were selected:

Small Business of the Year

  • Craddyshack Southern BBQ
  • Shaper Image Hair Design
  • Transpera Technologies

Emerging Businessperson/Business of the Year

  • Phil Warren, 53 on Ross
  • Brittany Davies, Social Shift Wellness
  • Landon Wynia, Waste Be Gone

Innovation Award

  • Central Alberta Dermatology
  • Olds College of Agriculture & Technology
  • Restore Wellness

Business Leader of the Year

  • Andrew Rocha – ATB
  • Joe Whitbread – Joe Social Media
  • Nancy Paish – Red Deer Regional Airport

Large Business of the Year

  • Canadian Closet
  • Fortis Alberta Inc.
  • The Coverall Shop

New Business of the Year

  • Clarity at Work
  • Grey Marketing
  • Rouge Marketing

Not-for-Profit of the Year

  • Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre
  • Community Foundation of Central Alberta
  • The Lending Cupboard Society of Alberta

Organizers say the winners have been determined and will remain confidential until they are revealed at the ceremony, which takes place from 6-10 p.m. on October 21 at the Red Deer Polytechnic Arts Centre.
