Rebels sign Danny Ramazanov to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement
The Red Deer Rebels announced they’ve signed Danny Ramazanov to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The 15-year-old forward was selected by the Rebels in the first round, 17th overall, at the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
The Saskatoon product, who stands five feet nine inches tall and weighs 155 pounds, led the Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 prep team this season in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League with 26 goals and 32 assists for 58 points in 29 games. He added eight points in six games at the prestigious John Reid Memorial tournament. He also had six points in four playoff games.
“He’s an exciting player with the ability to score highlight-reel goals and make plays at very, very high speed. He makes everyone around him better and is very competitive for an average-sized guy,” said Jamie Novakoski, Rebels Director of Player Personnel, in a media release. “We anticipate him to be a top six forward and score some big goals for us down the road.”
