Queer Neighbours Society of Red Deer to host Trans ID Clinic

Aug 1, 2026 | 8:02 AM

The Queer Neighbours Society of Red Deer announced they’ll host a Transgender ID Clinic in August.

They’re putting on the free clinic in partnership with the University of Alberta Edmonton Student Legal Services.

Due to the popularity of the first clinic, they’re hosting another on Aug. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organizers say it takes about 20 minutes per person and pre-registration is required. To register, email contact@qnsrd.org for the form.

The location will not be disclosed until after registration because the organization wants to give their community a stress free and positive experience.

Those who attend will have a place to wait, snacks and drinks, and washrooms. There are also parking and bus routes.

A Transgender ID Clinic gives non-binary and transgender people the opportunity to update their gender markers on their government ID.

The Queer Neighbours Society of Red Deer says those who do come will need a valid piece of government-issued photo ID, their health card, and if they are a minor, a parent or guardian.
