Sylvan Lake RCMP say 5-year-old child found unresponsive in pond
Sylvan Lake RCMP responded to an incident earlier this month involving a missing youth found unresponsive in a pond.
On July 6 at 3:43 p.m., Mounties were called to assist in finding a missing five-year-old boy, who was playing at the Play Zone Spray Park at Pogadl Park.
Police say he was found face down, floating in a nearby pond and was unresponsive.
In an interview with the boy’s mother, she said that she found her son in the pond but that the heroics of two bystanders saved her son’s life.
