Timber Ridge school project moves to design stage
A new middle school planned for northeast Red Deer has moved into the design stage.
Timber Ridge, part of Red Deer Public Schools, will serve Grades 6-8 and have a capacity of 605 students.
It’s one of 41 schools the provincial government recently shared are being fast-tracked through the Schools Now Program, and one of 159 active school projects around the province.
“Red Deer Public is pleased to confirm that the project has received approval to advance from the planning stage into the design stage. This approval reflects the completion of several months of planning, which included consulting project stakeholders, confirming site requirements, and developing initial design concepts,” a statement from Red Deer Public Schools says.
