Fancy Women’s Bike Ride(s) back in Red Deer for third year
Get your wheels out, put on your helmet, and head out for the latest upcoming Fancy Women Bike Ride.
In 2024, the Red Deer Association for Bicycle Commuting (RDABC) brought the idea of a ‘fancy women bike ride’ to central Alberta, in partnership with Red Deer Public Library.
It has become a summer tradition, now in its third year.
“The Fancy Women Bike Ride began as a global movement in 2013, encouraging women to be more visible in public spaces and on bicycles. While the international campaign has largely achieved its original goals, communities around the world have continued adapting the concept to their local needs,” shares Tatiana Tilly, participant, organizer, and spokesperson for Cyclovia Red Deer.
