Lacombe Police seeking suspects in Lacombe Centre Mall B&E

Apr 29, 2026 | 2:02 PM

Lacombe Police Service (LPS) is investigating an early morning break & enter to the Lacombe Centre Mall on April 26.

LPS says members responded around 3:15 a.m. following a report of suspicious activity at the mall’s rear.

A witness had observed five unidentified males attempting to gain entry.

Suspects were then seen fleeing the area in a black van, travelling northbound at a high rate of speed. No license plate was obtained.

While officers were responding, a commercial burglary alarm was also received from a business within the mall, believed to be connected to the same incident.

Upon arrival, LPS notes officers discovered that the suspects had allegedly forcibly entered one of the mall units occupied by Lacombe Florist & Gifts. Once inside, the suspects are alleged to have caused significant damage to an adjoining interior wall in an apparent attempt to gain access to the neighbouring business, Precious Metals Plus.

Despite their efforts, they were unsuccessful in entering that business. Additional damage was also found to an exterior door of Precious Metals Plus, where entry had also been attempted.

No suspects have been identified at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
