Apr 29, 2026 | 1:50 PM

The four nations of Maskwacis, as well as RCMP and Alberta Crime Stoppers, have teamed up for a rural sign campaign to help empower residents to take an active role in crime prevention.

The campaign encourages residents to share what they see, hear and know through anonymous tips to Crime Stoppers.

“We need to continue working with the RCMP, and provide the information of your observations,” Chief Vern Saddleback, Samson Nation, said during a news conference on Wednesday.

Maskwacis detachment’s Inspector Richard McKay also shared his thoughts.
