Red Deer and Blackfalds RCMP make multiple arrests on outstanding warrants

Multiple Red Deer and Red Deer County residents were arrested on outstanding warrants following an investigation into a suspicious vehicle.

Police say on April 10 at 2:19 p.m., the Red Deer Crime Reduction Team located a suspicious vehicle in Gasoline Alley, and after a quick investigation, they recovered a stolen dirt bike from August 2025.

As a result, the RCMP Crime Reduction Team arrested the driver of the vehicle with assistance from Blackfalds RCMP and the Blackfalds General Investigation Section.

The driver is a 45-year-old resident of Red Deer County, who was apprehended on multiple outstanding warrants and was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

He was released with conditions to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on April 24.

Meanwhile, the second man, a 40-year-old resident of Red Deer, was in the area and arrested on outstanding warrants.

He was scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on April 14.

Blackfalds RCMP also stopped a second vehicle while on the scene of the initial investigation, where a 62-year-old resident of Red Deer was arrested for outstanding warrants.

The registered owner of the vehicle, a 64-year-old resident of Red Deer, was also arrested for an outstanding warrant on a Traffic Safety Act violation.

Following a Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing, the 62-year-old was released with conditions to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Killam on May 5.

The registered owner was released on an appearance notice to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer on May 4.
