Trial date set for Penhold man arrested near Dickson Dam this summer

A trial date has been scheduled for a Penhold man police describe as a prolific offender, following a stolen vehicle incident near Dickson Dam this summer.

Jordan Glasgow, 25, is scheduled for trial in Red Deer Court of Justice on July 10, 2026.

The trial is in relation to an incident July 3, 2025, when Innisfail RCMP received a report of a stolen Ford F350 truck. Officers believed the truck had been stolen by a known offender.

Mounties say the suspect was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for breaching parole conditions, with RCMP adding he has a history of fleeing police and putting the public in extreme danger with his driving.

That evening, police located the vehicle near the Dickson Dam west of Innisfail

According to police, the man eventually parked, exited the truck, then walked towards a covert RCMP member, striking up a conversation and asked to borrow his cellphone.

The suspect was immediately arrested.

Jordan Glasgow was originally charged with possession of a stolen truck over $5,000, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, and failure to comply with probation.

Glasgow was also arrested on a Canada-wide warrant for being unlawfully at large. He was remanded into custody.

Most recently, Glasgow was sentenced in Red Deer in April 2025 to 13 months in jail for his role in another stolen vehicle incident. He was, however, given 8.5 months worth of credit for pre-trial custody, and had 137 days left to serve. Prior to that jail time expiring, he was released on parole June 18, but then an arrest warrant went out for him the next day after he breached conditions.

Previously, Glasgow was sentenced in October 2022 in relation to a stolen property bust that took place in Penhold in November 2021. For his role, Glasgow received 540 days in jail, plus 18 months probation and a firearms prohibition of 20 years.

Then, on March 31, 2023, Glasgow was arrested in connection to an incident in downtown Red Deer. In that incident, Glasgow was alleged to have rammed a police vehicle in a stolen vehicle, before fleeing and then being arrested.

In that case, Glasgow was sentenced to two years minus one day, on the charges of driving while prohibited, and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. Four other charges were dropped. He also received a driving prohibition.
