City Council: on the agenda

The following items are on Red Deer city council’s open meeting agenda on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.

Bylaw amendment – site exception:

Council will review an application to eliminate a provincial requirement to provide an engineer’s report concerning a landfill setback that extends over part of a parcel that the applicant wishes to subdivide.

Bylaw amendment – rezoning:

Council will review an application to amend the Land Use Bylaw to rezone 3837 47 Street, in the Eastview neighbourhood, from R1A Residential District to R2 District.

Quarterly Community Policing Report:

City Council will receive an update on their Annual Policing Plan (APP) and the Q3 crime statistics.

By-Election 2024:

On January 22, 2024, council set April 22, 2024, as the date for the upcoming by-election. As part of the Budget Meetings held January 23-25, 2024; council approved $350,000 for the byelection. On Tuesday, council will review information with the service levels as proposed in the report.
