UPDATED: Blackfalds RCMP advise of serious motor vehicle collision

Blackfalds RCMP are clear from the collision on Highway 2A at Township Road 392 and normal traffic flow has resumed.

Mounties say a follow up release with additional details is anticipated.

Blackfalds RCMP are advising they are currently on scene at a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 2A, at Township Road 392.

Mounties say the collision occurred at the railway tracks, approximately 3 kms south of Blackfalds.

Police say traffic cannot proceed through the area at this time but note an update will be sent when more information is available.

Motorists are asked to please avoid the area.
