Red Deer recruits new gastroenterologist

Red Deer has a new gastroenterologist.

Dr. Betty Cai begins practising out of Red Deer Regional Hospital and Central Alberta Digestive Disease Specialists as of Jan. 1.

Dr. Cai joins the team which provides interdisciplinary health services for patients diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) — Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis.

The doctor received her education in Ireland and completed her residency in London, Ontario, which is also where she previously worked as a locum physician.
