Red Deer Lions Speed Skating Club hosting bottle drive ahead of short track meet

The Red Deer Lions Speed Skating Club is hosting a bottle drive this weekend, ahead of its Nov. 4 short track meet.

The fundraiser goes Saturday, Oct. 21, from 10-noon, at Oriole Park Elementary (5 Oldbury Street).

Then, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 4, come watch speed skaters from across Alberta compete at the G.H. Dawe Arena.

The club is accepting new members and offers free open try nights all season.
