Charity BBQ for Interconnect Housing Foundation goes Saturday, 11-4

A community BBQ in support of the Interconnect Housing Foundation is taking place on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Sept. 30.

The event is taking place in Capstone, at 5439 47 Street, from 11-4, and intends to promote reconciliation through interconnectedness.

There will be Elder teachings, a tipi raising, drumming, craft and bake sale, charity raffle, and the BBQ is free. Donations all go, however, to the foundation.

Partners for the event include the City of Red Deer, Heritage Family Services, Elysian Ventures, and the Capstone Community Fund.
