Alberta Agricultural Societies Day officially recognized in perpetuity

The Alberta Association of Agricultural Societies is proud to announce that September 21 will now be forever recognized as “Alberta Agricultural Societies Day.”

The Ag Societies have played a pivotal role in promoting agriculture, rural development, and community engagement throughout the province. The day will serve as an annual reminder of the remarkable work carried out by the many volunteers within the community.

They run the rural facilities. The Rec centres, ice rinks, community halls and more.

They plan and host many community events. Have you been to a small town fair? They are the ones who hosted it.
