Highway 11 crash claims life of Red Deer man

RCMP and other first responders have cleared from a fatal collision scene on Highway 11 near Rocky Mountain House Tuesday night.

Mounties say the collision occurred at approximately 7:05 p.m. on September 19, 2023.

According to police, the driver of a pick up truck, a 22 year-old male resident of Red Deer was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 21-year-old female passenger in the pick up also sustained serious injuries. The driver of the semi trailer unit was not seriously injured.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.

Traffic has resumed in the area.
